Master Rahool (Don’t Trust Him)

Don’t Trust Master Rahool

Mystery

What does it mean? Signaling 400 years in orbit. No language known in the archives oohhhh ooh This is beautiful this is like music Now what use would creatures like that have for music, no its language, gold signal. Drifting out their deep beneath dead ocean signaling all the while, we the first to crack it.No no it couldn’t possibly be that simple. Oryx-Dead-King. Oryx Dead King, 3 words, 9 word bursts over and over. Osiris?

Welcome back Guardians, yes today we are speaking about the Cryptach. We will discuss the Cryptarchy (both Tower and Reef), the role of the Cryptach, Master Rahool and end with an interesting finding about Master Ives backpack. I also have some new artwork for you, entitled “Spawn divider” inspired by the Deathsinger video. For those still wanting more lore about Master Rahool and second part to this video will be released soon on the channel that focuses solely on Master Rahool’s tower mumblings.

In the description you will find a links to my Twitter, my Twitch channel where I stream Destiny lore live and today a link to a fellow Aussie’s youtube channel who also posts Destiny lore videos, however he has a slightly different approach. This is myelin games and I hope you enjoy this latest Destiny lore episode.

Let’s begin with the Cryptarch itself. Firstly, the terminology in the grimoire cards can be very confusing. I believe that the word Cryptarch refers to the overarching organization, within that exists divisions, the Reef Cryptarchy and the Tower Cryptarchy, then we have Crypto-archaeologists or more colloquially called Cryptarchs (Master Rahool and Master Ives are examples of this) and they study Cryptography.

Master Rahool Tower Quotes

Master Rahool Tower Quotes

Mystery

“Rahool’s true love is history. He treats each new find as a chance to understand the glory of the Golden Age or the terrible truth of the Collapse. Listen carefully to his murmurings: he may be the first to understand”.

Welcome back guardians, today we are going to have a detailed look at the Tower mumblings of Master Rahool. Some would argue that the in-game dialogue of Master Rahool confirms he is hiding something from Guardians, whilst others would argue he is leaving a trail of breadcrumbs for Guardians to discover the truth.

This video is intended to compliment my previous lore video on the Cryptarch, however there was just too much information for one video. I have placed a list of all of Master Rahool’s dialogue in the description below, where you will find some quotes that are not included on the wiki page.

Some quotes seem relatively innocent, whereas others seem to contain a hidden meaning. I have separated the most important quotes into three categories, those that involve Rasputin, quotes that involve the Black Garden and quotes about Osiris. The description below contains links to my twitter, twitch account (where I stream Destiny lore live each week) and my patreon page which helps funds the Destiny artwork. And this week I have some Master Ives artwork relating to a backpack, which I think you will enjoy. This is Myelin Games and I hope you enjoy this latest Destiny Lore episode.

Is the Queen Dead?

Is the Queen Dead?

Mystery

Welcome back guardians. I have previously mentioned that I did not think the Queen of the Reef, Mara Sov is dead and today I wanted to expand on this.

Mara Sov is one of the most mysterious and powerful characters in Destiny and to emphasize this, this video will begin with a short resume of her achievements during the Reef Wars, followed by my thoughts to whether she is still alive. This is Myelin Games and I hope you enjoy this latest Destiny Lore episode.

For those of you who started Destiny with the release of the Taken King, you may not know much about the Reef Wars. However, like The Taken King had the Book of Sorrows, which told the story of the Hive and Oryx, the House of Wolves DLC had The Maraid, a collection of Books, chronicles in fact, that told the story of the Queen and Reef Wars.

The Reef Wars began just prior to the Battle of Twilight Gap. The Battle of Twilight Gap was an attack lead by the House of Devils, who combined forces with other Fallen houses. At this point in time, the House of Wolves were not on Earth and we in transit to assist the other Fallen houses to take the City.

This level of cooperation between the Fallen Houses had not been seen before. The Queen became aware of this risk because her brother, Prince Uldren, the Master of Crows, had cracked Fallen encryptions and was able to listen to the transmissions broadcasted by the Fallen. Although they could not understand the transmissions, it became very clear, that the Fallen Houses had united in order to destroy the City. If the House of Wolves reached Earth, further strengthening the Fallen forces, the City would crumble.

The Book of Sorrow Verse 5

The Book of Sorrow Verse 5

Mystery

The proto-Hive, a Krill like species lived on a refuge planet known as the Fundament. The Fundament has two overarching forces, The Deep, later to be revealed as the Darkness and the Sky, later to be revealed as the light. The Worm Gods, are agents of the Deep and are trapped on the Fundament, and require a species to form symbiosis with in order to escape. The Sky attempted to prevent this occurring by wiping out trillions of species with a titanic god-wave. The Traveler, an agent of the Sky, carried out this plan by aligning the 52 moons of the fundament.

Upon forming symbiosis, both the proto-Hive and the Worms escaped the Fundament prior to the God-Wave. The worms granted immortality to the Hive Gods, Oryx, Savathun and Xivu Arath who returned to a separate dimension containing their Throne worlds upon death. The Hive Gods eventually were able to traverse dimensions willingly through a greater understanding of the Deep and the power of the sword, cutting “wounds”, also known as portals in space.

Whilst the worms grant immortality to the Hive gods, the Hive must continually satisfy the hunger of their worms through bloodshed and conquest, otherwise their worms will consume them. In order, to feed the ever growing worms, Oryx designs a system of tribute, by which the Hive pay tribute to their above commanders, consequently Oryx receives a continuous flow of tribute to feed his worm.

Book of Sorrows Verse 4

Mystery

The Osmium Heirs, Oryx, previously Aurash, Savathun, previously Sathona, and Xivu Arath, previously Xi Ro are the Hive Leadership and have formed symbiosis with the Worms from the planet Fundament. They worship the Deep, which is the Darkness and continue a conquest to destroy the Traveller and the Sky, a.k.a the Light. They believe in order to reach the final form of the universe they must destroy all imperfections and weaknesses.

In addition, the symbiotic relationship they have established with the worm grants them immortality however they must continually feed their worm through bloodshed and conquest. As they become more powerful so does their worm, creating a never ending cycle. The Hive leadership have created separate Throne worlds, different dimensions, and they return to this place with each death. Using the same knowledge and power used to create the Throne worlds, they also have the ability to cut open portals to other dimensions, which is described as “wounds” throughout the Book of Sorrow text.

Oryx has also gained the power to abduct his enemies and render them completely subservient, creating the Taken. Oryx was granted this ability after creating the Tablet of Ruins, which allows him to commune directly with the Deep, he gained this power by first killing his Sisters, and through the power of Sword logic was able to defeat the Worm god Akka and consequently discover the secretes of the Deep.

Book of Sorrows Verse 3

Book of Sorrow Verse 3

Mystery

The three heirs to the Osmium Throne, Aurash, Sathona and Xi Ro have fled their home continent, the Osmium Court following an invasion. Seeking revenge and the continuation of their species, they discover the Worm Gods hidden in the depths of the Fundament. The three sisters made a bargain with the Worm Gods forming a symbiosis and agreeing for their race to carry their larvae. They are granted power and immortality, however they must continue to conquer for eternity, through exploration, cunningness and war. As they do this, they feed their worm and become more powerful, however in-turn their worm will also demand more of them, consequently leading to a never ending cycle of conquest.

By consuming the worm, Aurash is renamed Auryx, King Morph, Sathona renamed Savathun, mother morph and Xi Ro renamed, Xivu Arath the knight Morph. Auryx is now male, whilst Savathun and Xivu Arath remain as his two sisters. The worm larvae is introduced to their species and the proto-Hive is born. The syzygy has now occurred on the Fundament, which is the alignment of the moons causing a titanic God wave, which will kill trillions.

Two overarching forces are revealed, the Sky and the Deep. It appears that the Sky is synonymous with the Light and the Deep is synonymous with the Darkness.

It is revealed that the syzygy and God-wave was caused by the Traveler, an agent of the Sky and was an attempt to trap the worm gods on the Fundament. The worm gods are an agent of the Deep and called life to the Fundament as means of escaping through symbiosis with another species.

Book of Sorrows Verse 2

Book of Sorrows Verse 2

Mystery

A species known as the Osmiums, live on a planet known as the Fundament. This is not their home world and they are in fact at the bottom of the food chain. There are two major forces that act on all life of the planet, the “Sky” and the “Deep.”

The Osimium life is short, 10 years and they have many children in order to adapt and change. The Osmium King has three female heirs, Aurash, Sathona and Xi Ro. They are betrayed by the teacher of the Osmium children and sterile mother, Taox. Taox assists the Helium Drinkers (which is the same species as the Osmiums) to invade the Osmium court and the King is killed. The three heirs flee on a ship but not before Sathona takes a white worm from the King. Aurash, Sathona and Xi Ro look for a solution to reclaiming the throne and taking back the Osmium court whilst they drift in the sea of the Fundament.

Each heir has their own specific trait or skill. Aurash is known as the navigator and explorer, Sathona is known to be the most cunning and Xi Ro is the warrior. They are desperate for answers as their lives are only short and Aurash has predicted the end of all species resulting from a God- wave, which will occur when the moons of the Fundament align.

Guided by the white worm of the King, which now belongs to Sathona, they find the ancient ship Needle. Using Needle, they dive into the Deep of the fundament where they encounter the Leviathan. The Leviathan attempts to convince them that the sky is a better path to follow. The three sisters ignore the warning, with whispers from the white worm and the dive deeper.

The Vault of Glass

Vault of Glass

Mystery

Deep in the Vault of Glass, the fabric of reality bends to the will of the Vex. Guardians that escape erasure will face Atheon, Time’s Conflux; The centrepiece of the Vex project, a command nexus that unifies the Vex across time, where multiple pathways and possibilities converge upon a single point. Within the Vault of Glass, the Vex seek to become a law of reality and inseparable from existence. However we have one comfort, the Vex cannot manifest this power outside of the Vault of Glass.

This is myelin games and I hope you enjoy this latest Destiny Lore episode on the Vault of Glass, where we will try to uncover its purpose, it’s relationship to the Black Garden, its importance to the general plot line of Destiny and how the Hive potentially influenced its creation.

We know that the Vex aim to make themselves inseparable from reality and the Vault of Glass acts as almost a research facility for the Vex, where they have increase power over different timelines. In fact, some Vex units have the ability to erase guardians from history, Praedyth and Kabr are examples of this. I have already made detailed videos on both of these characters, the links are in the description below.

However, what prompted the Vex to create the Vault of Glass, where did this all start. The earliest records of the Vex are seen in the Book of Sorrows. In the Book of Sorrows, Verse 4:9, open your eye: go into it, it describes the Vex invading Oryx’s throne world. Oryx’s sister, Savathun, tricked Crota into creating a portal, the portal linked the Vex World and Oryx’s throne world. The Vex quickly invaded the throne world and whilst at first they were disoriented by the rules of the Throne World, i.e. the sword logic, they quickly created a Vex mind called, Quria, Blade Transform. This Vex mind deduced the Sword Logic and with this understanding, the Vex become extremely powerful in the Throne World.

So powerful in fact, they fought for one hundred years, even when Crota had the assistance from his Deathsinger sisters, Ir Halak and Ir Anuk, who even created a very powerful weapon to destroy the Vex, the annihilator totem. During this time, the Vex mind, Quria, was able to capture worm larvae and began experimenting with them.

Quria Blade Transform determined that by directing worship at the worms, it could alter reality with mild ontopathogenic effects. To increase the effectiveness of this, Quria Blade Transform created a priesthood and ordered them to believe in worship.

This event I believe was a pre-cursor to the Black Garden, a p Continue reading

Vex Guardians!

Mystery

Infected by the Vex

I have destroyed myself to do this. They have taken my Ghost. They are in my blood and brain. But now there is hope. I have made a wound in the Vault. I have pierced it and let in the Light. Bathe in it, and be cleansed. Look to it, and understand: From my own Light and from the thinking flesh of the Vex I made a shield. The shield is your deliverance. It will break the unbreakable. It will change your fate. Bind yourself to the shield. Bind yourself to me. And if you abandon your purpose, let the Vault consume you, as it consumed me.

Welcome back guardians. Today we are talking about Vex Guardians, Guardians who have been transformed by the vex. This lore actually dates all the way back to 2 years ago, where Artificis_Vix made a reddit post about the liquid Vex, however it is still extremely relevant and with the release of the Vault of Glass ornaments that transform your limbs into Vex constructs and the new Eris Morn grimoire card, it is more interesting than ever.

As usual, the artwork at the beginning of the video was created by Brandon McCamey, if you would like to pick up any of his work, I have left a link in the description where you can find poster versions of everything.

This is myelin games and I hope you enjoy this latest destiny lore episode.

Malahayati, the Warmind?!

Character Lore

Malahayati (Warmind?)

Let’s get to it. How can Clovis Bray help the Exodus project? We’ve found a way to push our matter encryption technology even further. Habitats, equipment, repairs of all kinds—all of these things can be made from one material. SIVA doesn’t expire, degrade, or forget. It can remain dormant even on long voyages. Nearly any problem a deep-space colonist could have, SIVA can fix.

Welcome back guardians. Today we are talking about Malahayati, a suspected Warmind. The item descriptions of the new raid gear documents a conversation between General Chen Lanshu and Doctor Willa Bray from the Clovis Bray facility. They are discussing the use of SIVA for colonisation, specifically, the Exodus Project. Malahayati appears to be a Warmind assigned to protecting General Chen.

Last Twitch stream on Sunday night we are actually discovered a portion of this story, however it was not until I saw a reddit post later that night that the theory really came together. The original Reddit post was by “Jesse_Khaos” who documented the conversation between willa bray and General Chen and one of the top voted comments was by “KFC_just”, who introduced the warmind theory. The link is in the description if you would like to read the post.

Also in the description are a list of people that helped me complete the Thorn bounty whilst I was also on stream, please show them some love as this allowed me to capture all the in-game dialogue associated with the new Thorn bounty, mostly quotes by Dredgen Vale. Links to my twitch and my twitter are below, and I hope you enjoy this latest Destiny Lore episode.
