Destiny 2 lore: Cayde-6 Family

Character lore: Cayde-6

It is said that the Awoken were born in the Collapse, descended from those who tried to flee its wrath. Something happened to them out on the edge of the deep black, and they were forever changed.

Today many Awoken live in the distant Reef, aloof and mysterious. But others returned to Earth, where their descendants now fight for the City.

Earthborn Awoken who venture out to the Reef, hoping to learn its secrets, find no special welcome from the reclusive Queen.

Welcome back guardians, today we are continuing with some lore about Cayde-6, specifically his family. If you missed my previous Cayde-6 video I will leave a link below, however essentially, we found a page from Cayde’s journal that revealed that he had partner, whom he had a child with named, or at least nicknamed Ace. I spoke about his previous life as a human, the events leading to him becoming an exo, his constant struggle to reclaim his memory and of course the symbolism of the Ace of Spades.

Following the weekly reset, another page from Cayde’s journal was released and this one involves the Awoken, hence the introduction quote. Thanks to anonpig for the heads up. Whilst the journal entry is quite small, we can gather a lot of lore from it and also use it as a spring board to discuss the awoken in greater detail. The other exciting thing is that we can speculate that each week we will get a new journal entry for a different location, the journal entries are unlocked by finding Cayde’s treasure stashes and Cayde’s stashes rotate locations each week, so I assume there will at least be one journal entry per planet/moon. Really exciting.

I will be livestreaming as soon as this video goes live, and also a massive thank you to all the patreons. Your support has been so amazing, the artist Gammatrap has been able to dedicate even more time to artwork for the channel and is currently working on an Osiris video for everyone to enjoy.

Destiny 2 lore: Leviathan raid

Character lore: Emperor Calus

Upon my ship, I have prepared a welcome befitting an emperor’s champion! I have baths and gardens, arenas and halls, arsenals of arms and armor, libraries of legends and documents, specimens, treasures, beasts to slay, games to quicken the heart or stimulate the circuitry or whatever you please. But most of all, I have prepared tests.

For I offer to you the worthy a place at my side.

Welcome back guardians, today we are discussing the ending of the Leviathan raid in Destiny 2. Obviously, without saying there will be spoilers in this video, and the raid does add information to Destiny 2’s story, so leave now, you have been warned.

SO, I am going to explain in the raid, why the boss you fight at the end of the raid is not the real Calus and why there is an area full of other Calus robots. Towards the end of this video, I will also speak how Calus is linked with the Hive, the worms and the Ahamkara.

Feel free to check out my patreon if you would like to support the destiny lore comic books produced for the channel, the link is below. All donations go towards the artwork.

Destiny 2 lore: Felwinters lie

Character lore: Lord Felwinter

Now here’s the real question. Why are Exo minds human? What’s the design imperative? Why does a war machine – yes, absolutely, I am a war machine, built by human hands; and you are a survival machine built by the engine of evolution. Don’t interrupt me.

Why does a war machine have emotions? Why should a war machine have awareness? These are not useful traits on the battlefield. Don’t flatter yourself. They are not useful. So why should the Exo mind mimic the human architecture so closely?

Welcome back Guardians, today we trying to answer what was Felwinter’s Lie? For those new to Destiny, Felwinter was an Iron Lord, i.e. some of the first Guardians to start protecting humanity. His shotgun, Felwinter’s Lie was infamous for a number of reasons, firstly it’s incredible range in the Crucible and secondly it made many question what was Felwinter hiding? With the introduction of the exotic warlock gauntlets in Destiny 2, Winter’s Guile, we may be one step closer to discovering exactly what was Felwinter’s Lie.

Destiny 2 lore: Uldren betrayed us?

Character lore: Prince Uldren

The seventh Paladin commands the Royal Awoken Guard, whose primary task is to safeguard the Queen in any and all matters. This includes threats not only to her person, but to the Reef as a whole. As such, the Royal Awoken Guard work closely with the Queen’s brother, Master of Crows, Prince Uldren Sov, and every Guard member is trained in espionage and diplomacy as well as in firearms and hand-to-hand combat.

Welcome back Guardians. Today we are talking about the possibility of Prince Uldren and Variks controlling the Fallen, betraying Guardians and directing the Fallen against us. In today’s Lore video I will be using a combination of information from the Destiny 1 grimoire cards and the Destiny 2 scannables in the European Dead Zone.

If you are new to my channel, feel free to browse my Destiny Lore playlist and if I have made a previous Lore video on any topic mentioned in this video, you will see it in the top left corner, like this, and you can find the link in the description below and a clickable link at the end of the video.

Destiny 2 lore: Savathun The Taken King?

Character lore: Savathun

The Taken are an army without a commander, Asher. If we leave them with a little piece and quite, they might crown a new king.

Welcome back guardians, today we are discussing who is now in control of the Taken, which Hive entity has claimed Oryx’s throne. The Strike mission, Savathun’s song, the scannable items on IO and the IO adventure “Unexpected guests” seem to suggest that Oryx’s sister, Savathun, is now in control of the Taken. However, whilst I will discuss this as the main theory in this video, the deeper lore of destiny 1 may suggest Savathun is not in control and I will share that alternate opinion at the end of this video.

If you are one of my patreons, acolyte tier and above, please check your email/patreon messages, by the time this goes live I would have selected the winner of the console giveaway! Thank you for all of your support.
